Be Yourself. Everybody Else is Already Taken.

In a world fixated on perfection, it’s easy to fall into the mental trap of blending into the herd.

Every day you wake up and wash your face, looking into the mirror, ignoring one of the rarest masterpieces ever created. . .you.

So often we let our imagination and envy of other people’s lives run wild, and we forget to marvel at the personal divinity within ourselves.

There has never been, and never will be, another you. That’s a fact. You are truly unique. We all are. Yet we spend most of our limited time on this earth trying to fit in when we were made to stand out. As a matter of fact, you don’t have any other choice but to stand out, because you can only be yourself.

You don’t have an option to have someone else’s life or circumstances. You can only walk in your own shoes. Those are the only shoes that fit. But we force ourselves to fit in and that’s where the trouble comes because it’s actually very unnatural to fit in.

Everyone is unique. We all have our own dislikes, interests, strengths, and weaknesses. But seeing that most of us try so hard to be like everyone else we all end up looking and acting the same; which leads us to mistakingly believe that we are all the same, and the few people who don’t fit into the norm are different, and somehow that’s considered a bad thing.

When in all actuality, we are all different. Those of us who stand out have the courage to march to the beat of their own drum. They don’t look to everyone else for approval, they approve themselves, and are unapologetic about it.

How can anyone know how special you are if you’re trying to be like everyone else? You should endeavor to stand out, not fit in. No one who’s always fitted in has ever done anything special. Success favors the bold. And you are naturally bold and born to stand out.

So stop fighting your God-given uniqueness. And accept that not everyone is going to understand or agree with your individuality. It’s not for them to understand. As long as you have your own approval, that’s all that matters.
